Ted N. C. Wilson Biography
Ted N. C. Wilson is one of the most popular and richest Pastor who was born on May 10, 1950 in Takoma Park, Maryland, United States. Ted N. C. Wilson (born on the 10th of May 1950) is the head of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in November 2018.
A debate for decades over the issue of whether to recognize women to be Adventist pastors culminated during the General Conference Session in San Antonio, Texas, in July 2015. The General Conference 2013 had established the Theology of Ordination Study Committee (TOSC) to reach an agreement on the issue. The committee offered three different views: (1), that women’s ordination was not biblical; (2) that it was biblical and (3) the women can be properly ordained, if the culture allows. The previous policy prior to the meeting was that you ordain males and give women commissions. A suggestion to allow divisions of the church of all nations to commission women, was eventually rejected by GC delegate who met in San Antonio. Wilson declared that the vote was a sign that “we maintain the current policy” (male pastors are ordained, women pastors are appointed). Many union conference presidents and constituent sessions argued that the vote did not bar the level of church leaders from ordaining women and then proceeded to ordain women. The General Conference then began to discuss the best way to deal with these unions that are ‘non-compliant. The “Study of Church Governance and Unity” was released in the year 2016 and was later modified to change certain language and was perceived by certain church members and church leaders as a smear against women who were sincerely supporting ordination. In the 2015 General Conference Annual Council, it was approved to grant the unions a “year of grace’ in order to be in compliance to the San Antonio vote (as interpreted by the General Conference). An Unity in Mission Oversight Committee was formed to oversee discussions between union conferences as well as the GC. In the 2017 Annual Council, a proposed swearing of loyalty for GC Executive Committee members, was sent for consideration by the Unity in Mission Oversight Committee for another year.
Wilson was elected president in the time of 2010’s General Conference Session, succeeding Jan Paulsen, who had been President since the year 1999. In 2015, during the 60th General Conference Session, Wilson was elected for a third five-year term.

Page. 85. In his sermon to his 2014 Annual Council he stated,”Time on this Earth is very short. Probation is coming to an end soon. It is imperative to prepare to meet God face-to-face by repentance and abstinence from sin must be taken immediately.”The Great Controversy, on page 425 states that those who live on the Earth at the time that Christ’s intercession Christ will cease in the sanctuary above will be before God, a holy God without any mediator. Their attire should be clean, and their character must be cleansed from sin through the sprinkling of blood. With the help provided by God as well as their hard effort, they can be conquerors in their battle against evil. However don’t misinterpret this phrase and believe for a second that you don’t require Christ and that through your own efforts you can achieve salvation. Seventh day Adventists hold only through mercy and righteousness of Christ will we ever have eternal life. But, once probation ends, the work of mediation has ended. Your personality will be defined and your destiny will be forever determined. This is the reason why every day we have to be renewed and transformed through our study of the Bible and prayer to Christ. We need to receive His all-encompassing righteousness in the form of the process of sanctification and justification every day by His power we grow increasingly like Him.”
